See the rule behind every figure.
Each country's labour law sets who builds up end of service, the pay it is worked on and what each year earns. The reckoner applies that rule, and counts part of a year in proportion.
Know what the figure leaves out.
The reckoner works out two statutory amounts. A final settlement can hold more.
- Notice pay, where the notice is not worked.
- The final month's wages, up to the last day.
- Deductions, such as a loan still owed to the employer.
- Contract terms that give more than the law.
- Details that change what an ending earns, such as the contract type, the exact cause of a dismissal, or when a resignation fell.
- Compensation for a dismissal without a valid reason, or for leaving over the employer's breach.
- The DIFC and ADGM in the UAE, which set their own employment rules.
A final settlement worked on your own payroll is what a demo shows.
